The Student Attendance and School Climate Committees (SASCC) for Atkinson, Berrien, Clinch, Cook, and Lanier Counties were established in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 20-2-690.2 and serve the communities within the Alapaha Judicial Circuit. The committees encourage collaboration between local schools, courts, law enforcement, juvenile justice agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders in supporting student success, school engagement, and positive school climate.
The committees work together to address issues related to student attendance, student well-being, and early intervention efforts by promoting communication, coordination, and community involvement throughout each county. The protocols provided below outline the procedures and collaborative efforts adopted within each county served by the Alapaha Judicial Circuit.
